OFSAA: Part two of Three.

PART THREEEE CONTINUED

SO!
Now that we all have fake beards and such, it was time to get ready for our final game. Obviously we weren't going to take it seriously. We were even joking around during practice. Fred doesn't usually allow it, but he decided to relax a little. On the way over, we saw an Ofsaa official, that Whately almost decapitated with a clip-board, during our first game with the Grapes.
The official gave our team a kind of "Wtf.." look and said sarcastically to Whately. "Nice moustache". So, Whately points and him and gives him the stereotypical frenchman laugh. "Ohhoh!"
Oh yes. The decapitating. What happend was that Whately was getting a little pissed off about how we were playing. So he whipped his clip board down and it bounced off of the bench, just narrowly missing the officials head.
Everybody on the sidelines was amazed that we weren't punished for it in some way. Yeah... The officials didn't really like us very much after that.

Anyhow, (back to our last game.) we walked to the feild and dropped our stuff for a bit because, yet again the feild was still being used. We saw this gnarley hole in the ground filled with the grossest water I have ever seen.
Sophia pipes up and says "Alright rookies! Since we didn't have an initiation for you guys, you all have to drink from this puddle! Five bucks for the first rookie who actually does it!" Of course, she was joking. Psht, none of us did it.
IT WAS SOOOO HAWT OUT, that during our practice, our mustaches started to come off. ;-;
Of course, we drew them back on. Crazy nutters. >.>;

Kelly had given herself a Toothbrush moustache, better known as the Hitler Stache'. She had to give herself something else because we didn't want to make the officials even angrier. Hahaha. Especially after we were doing our dynamic stretches. We do this thing called Frankenstiens, which is basically the Hitler walk with extra high kicks. Rofls, oh gawds.
Whately was doing our tackling excersizes with us and we got to ruck him over pretty good. We all thought Sophia died when he landed on her. She kind of hurt her collar bone, but she got up and was fine after stretching.
THE TEAM COULD BREATH AGAIN!
It is official that Kim and I are the two most powerful on the team when it comes to take downs and tackles. Whately is pretty big and we can both knock him over, easily. Okay, so the other team shows up and they haven't seen us yet, all the rookies get sent in for the first half of the match and  most of the vets are

kept off.
I would have to say this was the funnest game in all of OFSAA.
At the start of the match, they were calling out their players.
"I've got the tall chick!"
"I've got Blondie!"
"I've got Moustache!" <--- Erm.. Which one, you adorable monkey? >w>
The entire field bursts out in giggles.

Okay, so in the half I played, the rookies really stepped it up. This was our last game and we wanted to show that we can play as well as any other team. We held up the plays, made strong rucks and tackles. Our scrums were a bit facked up, due to the fact that Fred had an idea to send three of the biggest and strongest forwards into the scrum together, without us ever having the experience. I was so used to being with Amy that this change was a little harder to adjust too.
Not going to lie, our scrums were kind of sloppy and uneven. O'hara had never played as hooker before. She was always Loosehead.
Kim was Tighthead and I was Loosehead this time.
The awesome thing about our scrum though was that the other team was effing teffified and amused at the same time. They took line-outs whenever possible. Infact, I think we only had three scrums in the first half.
This team was terrible at passing. At one point, Sophia was stopped dead in her tracks because she was laughing at the way somebody on the other team had thrown the ball. She meant to throw it forward but it went straight into the sky and the play had to be stopped because the ref didn't want an unfair advantage.
Second half rolls around and all the rookies whose positions could be taken over by a senior, were kicked to the sidelines, watching and cheering for our Vets. <3

Whately and Fred took the time to say some things to us rookies.
Fred is kind of awkard about these things and doesn't like to beat around the bush, he came out and said that he wanted me to play for the Indians. To me, this was a great honor, but I need to get a few things out of the way before I go off and join another team. Schedual conflicts for the new school year, things like that.

Whately, since he was going to be leaving and wont be back until after I graduate, took his time and said a lot to me. He, like Fred, really wants me to stick with rugby. He told me that I run with a lot of power and if I had joined the Indians, he wants me to work more on speed. Whately said that I'm abnormally fast for a forward and lots of people wouldn't expect that, so next year, when I join the team, I will become the new Big Mamma.
I laughed to myself when he told me that. He just smiled at me and told me to go grab the water bottles because there was a penalty kick.

There was only like, a bottle and a half left. The girls weren't too happy about that. But oh well.
Bridgette went in for a kick after I was on the sidelines again. It was the most beautiful kick I've ever seeeeeeeeeeen. It was lifted easily off the ground, spiraling into the sky, slowly arching down to the middle of the posts and then the moment was destroyed, as the ball landed and bounced off the posts. We were all in awe for the first part, right until we here thepainful "Pink" sound of the ball making a painful collision.

Not even moments later, Bridgette had gotten pulled onto the sidelines due to an offside tackle that caused her to injure her knee. Again. Fack.
Then, Byranna B got pulled off as well and had to go to the hospital. She had also injured her knee. But she had to go to the hospital for it.
Gah, I was like the nurse on the sidelines. Making sure that Brianna P and Bryanna B were both sitting comfortably and that Bridgette wasn't being bothered too much by the others.
The match had come to an end, it was pretty close though. They had won, but I think we had two tries on them. Whatever, they only were above us by one kick.

The game was over and we were all being really emotional. It was the last time we would play together. The Rugby family was going to be broken apart due to all the graduates on the team. A new one was going to be formed next year but, it just wouldn't be the same. We had all gotten to know each other and share these memories together. I guess we'll just have to do it again next year with the newer crew. We're going to train hard to keep our status as the top team in Ottawa.
